ORA-12645 Parameter does not exist, Oracle error code

Translation of the error message from Oracle’s support site:
ORA-12645: Parameter does not exist.

Cause: A sqlnet.ora parameter from which a value was needed does not exist.
Action: Set the parameter in the parameter file.

SOLUTION

In sqlnet.ora the parameter is SQLNET.ENCRYPTION_CLIENT.

“oracle.net.encryption_client” is a JDBC parameter.
